"I saw a moo-moo cow and he was looking for his mommy."I've never forgotten the first words out of my city-cousin's mouth when she first visited our farm in rural Nebraska. Even at three years old, I found it funny when someone didn't know all about cows. Fast-forward 40-some years and I still get a kick out of looking for cows—not moo-moo cows mind you—but purple cows. (I'm sure my cousin's laughing now!)
In Hot Pursuit of the Rare Purple CowIn his book Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable, marketing guru Seth Godin says that the key to success is to find a way to stand out--to be the purple cow in a field of monochrome Holsteins. "Great" isn't good enough these days in marketing. "Great" is average. Working over 20 years in ad agencies, it became obvious that too many times ad agencies were charged with creating amazing sizzle when the steak just-plain sucked. Or, when the steak was phenomenal, the agency's work was just great (sub-par). No big idea. No purple cow. No happy client.
You've Got to Moov It, Moov ItMoov was created by a tribe of marketing junkies that are passionate about happiness and "purple cows"—especially when combined with the Internet as a medium. Now big ideas can be quickly and cost-effectively deployed worldwide. The days of blowing millions of dollars to shout out advertising messages to the masses are out and the days of social media, viral, 1:1 and word-of-mouth are in. The web affords levels of targeting, interactivity, and tracking unlike any medium before. Let's face it, client's hire agencies to move their companies forward. To move people to embrace their brands. To move products and services off the shelves. Therefore: purple cow + move = MOOv.
We thank you in advance, for the opportunity to be your moover and shaker!
