Mashable just recently posted an
article about the business applications of
Google Wave and how it can help streamline collaborative projects as well as sync up teams that are split across different times and spaces.
I completely agree, but feel there is also a lot of power in using the application for learning about consumers and what they are thinking. Imagine how this could reinvent how focus groups are done by throwing out topics and watching respondents play off one another.
Another application that I’ve been thinking is researching business solutions. What’s stopping us from recruiting 40 MBA’s from around the country, giving them a complex business problem and seeing how they solve it.
None of these aren’t ideas we couldn’t fulfill in other forums, but having the real time integration as well as automatic recording is pretty sweet.
